ERS Comes to Grounding: Eartha Olympus Core

Published: August 5, 2026 | Categories: News

When we introduced the Energy Reference System, we began with our signal cables, creating Delphius in the first instance, then updated versions of our other cable ranges to create Primer Core, Sudoku Core and Olympus Core. What ERS did for those cables was clear enough that the next question answered itself: what happens when the same thinking is applied to grounding?

Eartha Olympus Core

The Eartha Olympus Core is our answer. It is the first Eartha ground cable to carry ERS, and it brings everything the technology has already proven across the cable range to the part of the system whose entire job is handling unwanted energy.

Why grounding

Our work with ERS started from a single observation: much of the energy that shapes how a system sounds does not travel through the conductor, but through the electromagnetic field around it. ERS was built to affect that field, essentially smoothing the way for the signal to pass through with greatly reduced interference from radio frequency and electromagnetic noise in the environment around the cable. A separately shielded reference wire (the ERS wire) runs alongside the main path and terminates at Corepoint, which gives that field a defined, controlled reference.

Grounding is where this principle can have a truly transformative effect. A ground cable exists to carry away the energy a system does not want. Adding ERS with Corepoint to this connection means the field around the grounding path is referenced too, so the noise being taken to the ground box has the same improved environment through which to more effectively travel.

Giving the ground path — the Eartha cable — a controlled reference via ERS and Corepoint has been one of the most effective steps we have found for improving what our grounding system can do.

Built around Corepoint

As with all our ERS cables, the reference wire in the Eartha Olympus Core is connected to a Corepoint unit, specifically a Corepoint Signal unit. The architecture is the same one now running through our cable range: the ERS wire interacting with the electromagnetic field, and Corepoint providing the controlled reference that field is measured against. What is new is where it sits — for the first time, at the grounding connection itself.

A first hearing in Hong Kong

Right now, exactly one Eartha Olympus Core exists. It makes its first public appearance at the Hong Kong High End Audio and Visual Show, running Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August 2026. For anyone attending, it is the first opportunity anywhere to hear what ERS brings to grounding.

What comes next

The Eartha Olympus Core is the first Eartha cable to carry ERS — not the last. It marks the beginning of ERS across the Eartha range, and the start of a grounding architecture built, from the cable outward, around the field.
